The Story

Fabric has always been a huge part of my life from the time I was old enough to hold a needle and thread. I remember adoring all the bolts of calico fabrics neatly lined up at our locally owned quilting shop. The idea that a small east-coast town could support a privately owned fabric shop left an impression all those years ago. With simplicity in mind and the help of the internet I am now able to welcome you to my own shop.

Hedgehog Hiker nature themed fabric is designed in the Pacific Northwest close to snowy mountains, lush evergreen forests, and the dramatic Pacific Ocean. Our fabrics are made using vegetable based dyes right here in the U.S. Each design is modern while the colors are inspired by a nostalgia for my family’s log cabin, splashing in the brook, and catching fireflies after dark. 

Whether you enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking, or gardening in your backyard, these prints offer a lovely way to add the spirit of nature to your next sewing project.
